Icy Hot Murals x McCoy Design Collaboration

The Taylor Place Werthan Building Murals project was a collaboration with our client, McCoy Design. They created a series of mural designs to honor the history of the historic Werthan Building, a former bag factory now part of an urban loft and office space complex in Germantown that celebrates the building’s heritage and diversity.

Our work included a large mural on the “Foundation Wall,” featuring digitized and abstracted historical photos of Werthan factory workers, creating a “ghostly” effect to honor their legacy. We also added interpretive panels detailing the history and diversity of the site. In the main stairway, we executed dynamic art by deconstructing, layering, and manipulating vintage designs from the Werthan company’s archives.
